Week 79- What A Week!

What a week!

On Saturday we had the Ilumina el Mundo (light the world) event. A few weeks ago we reserved the park but saturday morning we heard that there was going to be a rock concert in the park as well. I dont know what happened but the rock concert never happend. The Lord blessed us with that one. We started setting up at 4 and it was really hot (107 and humid) We got everything set up by 7 and started. It was a super great event. I literally ran for 5 hours trying to set everything up and keep everything running smoothly. We had choirs, a toy donation, and a balloon releasing! It was a great spiritual experience and over 500 people went!

On monday we had transfers and we took the missionaries that were finished to the airport. One of the elders left really early in the morning and for some reason the new missionaries got here in the morning. Problem: GIANT STRIKE in Buenos Aires and no flights went out after the first one. We rescheduled everything and then took everyone back to the office. On tuesday we went to drop off one missionary early in the morning.... Strike still going on. So we ended up taking everyone to the airport on wednesdaymorning. On wednesday night at 10:30 we had to go and pick up another new missionary at the airport but her flight ended up being delayed until 2 in the morning... That was fun:)

Have a great week and a Merry Christmas!!!!

Week 77- Still Lighting the World

This week has been all about the activities we have planned for next week. I really didn´t realize what I was getting into when we brought up the idea for the #lighttheworld event that we´ll be having on the 16th. I didn´t realize the amount of work that is needed to plan an event on a sem-large scale. We´ve been going from morning to night every day trying to get everything ready. On saturday and wednesday we were invited to radio stations to talk about the event and invite people to attend. I´ve decided that intervieweres always ask really weird questions.

On thursday we didn´t have power in the chapel and in the morning we unloaded the shipment of 45 mattresses that the mission bought and stacked them in the multi-purpose room that president has in his house. I made myself the princess in princess and the pea and layed on a nice big stack of mattresses. We then ate bbq with president and had pday in the afternoon. This morning we had a question and answer session with the youth of a ward here and it was super spiritual. Next week is going to be crazy with the 2 mission christmas activities, the #lighttheworld event, and transfers! I´m working hard and haven´t been happier on my mission.

Stay strong and hold on, whatever comes your way!

Week 76- Light The World

Hello everyone!

So this week we lost internet all p-day so this is a short email and also there aren´t pictures so... sorry for the lame email.

This week we had mulizona here in Resistencia. We combined the 2 multizonas that we usually have and had a giant one. It was a very spiritual meeting and we learned about obedience and managing our time as missionaries.

The rest of the week was spent planning the 3 christmas activities we have planned as a mission. More details are to come!

This year for your gift to the Savior, give the gift of lighting the world! Use the attached calendar to help.

Week 75- On the Radio!

This week was great! We had multizone conference in Formosa and Corrientes, divisions in Corrientes, and talked on the radio:)

On Saturday last week we were invited to talk on the radio to announce the Light the World campaign that the church has and the Capilla Abierta that we will have tomorrow in our church building. Tuesday and Thursday we had Multizone conference. President talked about the importance of being excited about the work and being obedient. We shared about preparing for, teaching, and following up after a lesson. We didn´t celebrate Thanksgiving other than say happy thanksgiving but we did eat giant hamburgers! Divisions with Corrientes LZ were great and we were able to have a lesson with a contact of theirs.

I hope everyone can visit mormon.org and participate in the LightTheWorld campaign that the church is doing. Last year the campaign was the most successful activity the church has ever done. I hope everyone can share the light of christ by sharing this campaign with everyone!

Week 74- Scrubbing Grafitti

This week was divisions with Paso de Los Libres. We were going to have mutizonas this week but president got sick and so we decided to do divisions with the zone leaders of Pasos to help them find more investigators.

On saturday we had a multistake service project of fixing up a school. We painted and scrubbed grafitti off of the desks. It was super fun and great to help others.

Mauro and Yanina are progressing well and we are super excited for them. We will be helping them get married and hopefully they can get married before the end of the year.

It was weird traveling back to mercedes and being in the area where I started. The rented house that is the chapel was remodeled inside and looks really good now.

Divisions in Pasos went really well. We were able to find a bunch of news for them and helped them with some things they were working on in the zone.

Sorry I dont have too much this week. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!
