Week 92- Baptism

Hey Everyone!
This week has been so amazing and such a whirlwind. We had an emergency sleep over in reconquista because a sister was sick and we went to help her. We did divisions with the zone leaders and they are probably my favorite zone leaders of the mission. What makes a good zone leader? Obedience, a big heart, a sense of humor, and a desire to help others. To be honest, isnt that what makes a good person? I love when Jesus says: "Let your light so shine before this people, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." If we follow the teachings of Jesus and try to be an example to those we are around, we glorify our Father in Heaven. There is a saying that is dear to my heart, "Share the gospel always and when necisary, use words.
Next week we will have a baptism of an amazing young man. His name is Marcos and he is so excited to be baptised because he will be able to recieve forgiveness of all his sins and enter into the kingdom of God on the earth.
I know that Jesus Christ leads this church. He loves us so much and wants us to return to Him. All we have to do is have the humility to follow His teachings.
Have a great week!!

Week 90- Consistency Over Perfection

Hey Everyone!

I know it´s been a while since I wrote a weekly email. My only excuse isn´t a very good one being that I was "really busy." To be honest I just have been a little bit lazy as far as writing about the week. This week we did divisions with two sets of zone leaders. We also have been preparing for transfers and consejo. The biggest things spiritually that I have learned recently are that many times we believe IN Christ but we have a hard time believing Christ; that He can save us. We believe that WE have to make ourselves perfect, that the grace of Christ only starts taking affect only "after" all we can do. We forget that WE can never make ourselves perfect in this life. Our only hope is to try the best we can and believe Christ when He says that we can be perfect THROUGH Him. The other thing that I learned is the quote "Consistency over Perfection". It ties in to the previous thought because even if I was completely perfect for a day, it still wouldn´t get me that far. I only can have the desire to be perfect, consistently do my best (and some days will be less than my best) but constistently try and have perfection as my goal. This is what Christ asks of us when He said "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect" (Actual bible verse may differ from verse typed from memory)

I hope ya´ll are well and that we can all try to put consistency over perfection and believe Christ, not just believe in Christ.

Have a great week!
