Week 75- On the Radio!

This week was great! We had multizone conference in Formosa and Corrientes, divisions in Corrientes, and talked on the radio:)

On Saturday last week we were invited to talk on the radio to announce the Light the World campaign that the church has and the Capilla Abierta that we will have tomorrow in our church building. Tuesday and Thursday we had Multizone conference. President talked about the importance of being excited about the work and being obedient. We shared about preparing for, teaching, and following up after a lesson. We didn´t celebrate Thanksgiving other than say happy thanksgiving but we did eat giant hamburgers! Divisions with Corrientes LZ were great and we were able to have a lesson with a contact of theirs.

I hope everyone can visit mormon.org and participate in the LightTheWorld campaign that the church is doing. Last year the campaign was the most successful activity the church has ever done. I hope everyone can share the light of christ by sharing this campaign with everyone!

Week 74- Scrubbing Grafitti

This week was divisions with Paso de Los Libres. We were going to have mutizonas this week but president got sick and so we decided to do divisions with the zone leaders of Pasos to help them find more investigators.

On saturday we had a multistake service project of fixing up a school. We painted and scrubbed grafitti off of the desks. It was super fun and great to help others.

Mauro and Yanina are progressing well and we are super excited for them. We will be helping them get married and hopefully they can get married before the end of the year.

It was weird traveling back to mercedes and being in the area where I started. The rented house that is the chapel was remodeled inside and looks really good now.

Divisions in Pasos went really well. We were able to find a bunch of news for them and helped them with some things they were working on in the zone.

Sorry I dont have too much this week. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

Week 72- Persistence

Well, sadly this week I have absolutely no pictures of the week. However, that does not mean that I didn´t do anything;) Sunday we had stake conference and we learned about the importance of persistence (not perverseness, which is what persistence first auto-corrected to haha)  and the worth we have as members of the church.

On monday, well really all this week has been chuck full with meetings with president; as the office, as the assistants, and interviews. We´ve been having a recoup week from elder packer being here and getting ready for transfers. We have a young couple that we are teaching, Mauro and Yanina who are great and we have had some wonderful lessons with them!

Next week is transfers and we´ll see how that goes! I dont know if i´ve shared it before but I attached a video that Pte. Patanía showed us about leadership and doing the impossible. Ill let you learn from the video and you can apply what you learn in your own lives. Also enjoy this awesome map of the plan of salvation.

Have a great week everyone!! ¡¡Viene pronta la navidad!!

Week 73- King Benjamin and Transfers

Hey everyone! Transfers!

This week was transfer week! 9 sisters and 1 elder went home this week, and 8 sisters and 1 elder arrived. On Sunday our investigators (Mauro y Yanina) came to church!!!! They also committed to getting married in January! It´s not as soon as we would like but its going to happen and then the´re getting baptized! We also found another investigator that is committed to baptism in December!

The missionaries whe went home left at 6:30 in the morning which meant a 3:30 wake up time for us:) Gotta love the flight schedules haha. The new missionaries that have gotten here are awesome! They have a great spirit and are ready to work! We have some great things planned for the mission these coming months!

I was reading in Mosiah where King Benjamin talks to his people about becoming like a child:

3:19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

I think its important with all that goes on in our lives to slow down a little and thing about the simple gifts God has given us. Not getting overwhelmed helps us become more patient, humble, and kind.

Have a great week and enjoy the pictures!

Week 71- President Packer Visits Resistencia

Hey everyone!

This week we had the visit of Elder Packer, who is the oldest son of the late Apostle Packer, member of the first quorumn of the seventy and first counselor of the area presidency. Literally the whole first part of the week was spent on getting things ready for him to come and then having him here took up the last part of the week. We have a young couple who are progressing as investigators and are excited to get baptized.

We had the oportunity to be an ambulance again when we took a sick sister from Formosa to Resistencia for treatment. Our pensión is now a hotel because we are changing out secretaries and there are ten of us in the office.

One of the things I learned from Elder Packer was from a video he shared with us. (see the google drive link) Sometimes the problems that we have in life are easy to get out of but we put up mental roadblocks that keep us from leaving the situation. Instead of waiting for someone else, we have to take action ourselves. I hope you also enjoy the video of potrillo that was prepared. Its such a great story and they are such faithful saints.

Have a great week!
