Week 63- Alligator Steaks

Week 63!

Its funny how the number of weeks just keep going up and up haha.

Saturday was Pday and we went to the new and only in the mission burger king for lunch:) We had a great lesson with a new investigator called Marilú (mary lou) who is a young single mom with three kids. We were able to explain to her the book of mormon and taught her children as well because they were super smart and respectful. We also saw a girl called estefi who is a seventh day adventist. we´ve ran into her three times! The missionaries are teaching her and we hope that everything goes well with her.

Sunday we participated in the multistake conference broadcast for chile, paraguay, urugauy, and argentina. It was a great broadcast and we learned about missionary work and also about reaping what you sow. It was a good reminder to always be watching your thoughts and actions. In the afternoon we went as a district to the park to do the survey activity and we recieved over 30 references for the missionaries in resistencia and 8 were for us so it was a sucessful night!

Monday was a office work day because we had the weekly meeting with president all morning and then in the night we prepared our presentation for multizona and we went and picked up some cloths that were donated for the people in potrillo.

Tuesday we had a great lesson with a woman named Monica. She is great and wants to learn more about our church. we explained the restoration of the church and the book of mormon and she read the introduction and promised to pray about it. I love the invitation and promise of the introduction of the book of mormon book of mormon:

Or if you want it in english:
Concerning this record the Prophet Joseph Smith said: “I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.”
We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5.)
Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is His revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the Second Coming of the Messiah.
Haha its weird to read it in english, im so used to the spanish. But whether it be in english or spanish its the truth! I testify that if you read the book of mormon, ponder the message it contains, and ask God if it is sacred scripture written by holy prophets for our day, you will feel that it is true by what Paul explained in Galatians 5 as the fruits of the spirit;
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
I would like to join God´s prophet, Thomas S. Monson, by saying "If you have not read the Book of Mormon, read it."
Wednesday was a long day. We left resistencia at 7:30 and got to Formosa to do the multizona. President taught about how we need to change our actions if we want different results. Elder lloyd came with us and taught about references and how we can use them to help bring the work of the lord forward. We gave a presentation of new/more things we can do as missionaries to bring the world his truth.
Thursday was helping president with interveiws all day. For lunch we went to a super nice restaurant on the coast of the river. From the restaurant you can look over the river and see paraguay. it was actually just like 100 yards away haha. We ate aligator steak and it was amazing:)
Today is friday and the start of an adventure. Stay tuned for next week.
