Week 68- General Conference

This week was great! We had General Conference over the weekend and then helped President with interviews in formosa and resistencia.

General Conference is always a highlight of the year and always comes just when you need it most. Hearing the Apostles of God speak inspired me in so many ways. Three of my favorite talks were:

Yearing for Home by President Uchtdorf
Lord, Wilt Thou Cause That My Eyes May Be Opened by Elder Zwick

I hope you enjoy them as well!

On monday we had a cool experience as we were buying some banners for the Capillas Abiertas that we have here in the mission. As we were designing the banners in the print shop, the lady at the desk walks over to us and asks us which branch we are from. We were a little confused at first and we must have looked like it because she said "oh, im a member! I was baptized when i was little but since I married and moved here to resistencia I havent been going to church. Can you come by and teach and baptize my two sons?" Uhhh.....Yes! We set up a day and are going to teach them. Sometimes its difficult as an Assistant to not be able to work in our area as much as we would like but that was a testimony to me that while we werent in our area, we were trying to help the mission by doing what we needed to do to prepare these banners. And for that God blessed us with this oprotunity to teach!

On tuesday, wednesday, and thursday we were busy helping president with interviews and some short meetings that acompanied them. He taught about returning to the things that matter most. In formosa someone broke into president´s car so we fixed it with cardboard and tape:) Thursday night we had our english class and it went really well. A member brought her friend and we helped them with their translator classes that they are taking.

I hope you all have a great week!
