Week 54- Book of Mormon

Hey Everyone,

What a week we have had here in the office this last week!

Friday we played padel and relaxed. Elder Allan was pretty sick and slept all day. Last week I forgot to tell ya´ll that Elder Lloyd is temporarily our companion so we are in a trio with him.

Saturday we went to a baptism in the morning and that was super awesome! Then we went to go and teach in the afternoon and didn´t teach anyone but we had a really cool experience with one of the people we talked with. It brings such a peace to know that we have the truth. That everything we believe as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is of God, that it makes sense, and that it contains everything we need to be able to return to live with Him in complete happiness one day!

Sunday we went to E´Lloyd´s ward and learned all about the Book of Mormon and its importance. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion which means that it holds everything together. Without the Book of Mormon our religion would have no validity. That´s why our testimony of it is so essential. I love a quote from Elder Holland´s talk "Safety for the Soul" where he says,
"For 179 years this book has been examined and attacked, denied and deconstructed, targeteand torn apart like perhaps no other book in modern religious history—perhaps like no other book in any religious history. And still it stands. Failed theories about its origins have been born and parroted anhave died—from Ethan Smith tSolomon Spaulding to derangeparanoid to cunning genius. None of these frankly pathetic answers for this book has evewithstood examination becausthere is no other answer thathe one Joseph gave as its young unlearned translator. In this stand with my own great-grandfather, who said simply enough, “No wicked man could write such book as this; and no good man would write it, unless it were true and he were commanded of God to do so.”

Monday started the last week with President Franco, which is exciting and sad at the same time! We had the office meeting and bought food for multizona.

Tuesday was the last multizona of President and Hermana Franco. We did the same game as the other two times. This time I shared that without the Book of Mormon I wouldn't have the opportunity to testify of the Book of Mormon and feel the confirmation of the Holy Ghost testifying of its' truthfulness. It's probably one of the most powerful experiences that I've had with the Book of Mormon when I am able to tell them that I know that the Book of Mormon is true!

Wednesday we went to the office and took furniture from a pension and distributed it all over Resistencia. For lunch we had a picnic and then we went to La Leonesa which is a small town about an hour away to paint a pension so we could give it back to the landlord.

Thursday we organized the office because they finally replaced all of the desks and we have drawers again! In the afternoon we had to go to the terminal to give an hermana a phone because they were being transfered areas. Then we fell asleep exhausted!

That´s the week! Next week is going to be crazy because it´s goodbye President Franco and Hello President Patanía! Lots of adventures to come!

The church is true! Go to church, read the Book of Mormon everyday, say your prayers, Be Happy!
