Week 2- Real Life at the MTC

Hola,

First of all thanks to everyone for their letters and prayers. I can truly feel the blessings of those prayers and the letters help as well.

Sunday was such a great experience. Sacrament meeting was in Spanish and we all prepare talks to give, once we do the sacrament they choose two people to give the talk. Its kinda scary not knowing if you are going to be talking or not so you just have to prepare for it. After church we went on a walk around the temple and then finally got to take a short nap. It's weird because you aren't doing anything physically demanding but learning the language takes more energy than you realize. We also got to attend the sunday night devotional and sunday night movie (it reminded me of MASH for some reason when they all have their movie night haha). A few points from the devotional that I liked:
-Missionaries have been alive for long enough for satan to know everything we hate and he will take any opportunity to push our buttons
-Satan really really really doesn't like missionaries and sends his worst to attack us but we have angels around us to protect us from them

The movie we watched was a devotional that bednar gave at the mtc called "characters of christ" and is probably one of the best talks of all time. I would totally recommend looking it up and watching it. It was given on a christmas day but i don't know what year. I have some great notes from it but you'll have to watch it and take your own;)

Tuesday devotional was a great experience because I got to sing in the MTC choir, which is the largest choir in the world (900+). It was the best choir experience i've ever had.

The rest of the week was a blur because it's just class eat class eat class eat class with nothing much that happened so i feel really bad that I don't have much to say about the rest of the week.

Alberto was our fake investigator and was committed to baptism on tuesday. The lessons either went really well or really bad. it's hard to get your feelings out in spanish. We have a new investigator next week and he is an actual investigator so i'm pretty nervous about that but I know the lord will be with me so it can't go too wrong right? haha

Thanks Everyone,
