Week 4- The Mini Fridge

Halfway done with the MTC! I can't believe it! It feels like I just got here but at the same time it feels like I've been here my whole life haha. It's weird to think just three weeks ago I was boating, camping, and living a normal life. There is a veil that happens at the MTC and you can't really remember what life was like before you got here, like it's all a haze. Really weird haha but I love it here, and am really excited for the campo (field).
Again like last week nothing much happened other than class eat and sleep. We received two new districts this week and by tuesday our district will be the oldest ones in our zone. We now have six districts in our zone which makes it really fun. One thing we that is great about being the oldest district is we inherit all the leftover food and the mini fridge....so much food:)
Elias has really opened up to us this past week and it's been cool to see who he really is and his concerns about getting baptized. I hope we can get him to baptism before we leave the MTC.
One exciting thing that is happening here is that for the 24th of July the MTC is going to have The Nashville Tribute come and perform a concert! Never in a million years would I have guessed that the MTC would host a concert but I guess they are. The coolest thing is that if you sing in the choir you get to be the backup choir/singers for the concert. So i'll be performing in a concert on the 24th! (along with 900 others haha). It's fun though cause it's more country gospel music and not church songs, it mixes it up a little, and the choir director is great! The choir practices are like mini devotionals mixed in with singing. It's probably my favorite part of the week.
Spanish is coming along, I can understand the gist of what people are saying, of course they're talking slow but it makes me feel good that I can understand the points they are trying to make haha.
Now we have Austin Fife, DJ Holt, Gavin Johnson, and I all together at the MTC! It's nice to have some friends from home here. One interesting thing is that every one of us is either a district or zone leader. Coincidence...I think not. The Woodlands wards can really make the best missionaries;)
